Contextual Behavior Consulting is led by Kate Danforth, a Board Certified Behavior Analyst licensed in Wyoming and Utah. Since 2018, Kate has worked exclusively with individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities and serious mental illness, in the settings where the stakes are highest: state psychiatric hospitals, intermediate care facilities, and skilled nursing settings, as well as homes and communities. Her current work includes consultation to state-operated psychiatric and long-term care programs at the highest levels of clinical acuity.

That background matters for a simple reason. Families supporting a young adult with complex needs deserve someone who has already seen the hardest situations and knows how to prevent them. Kate brings institutional-level expertise into private homes, in service of building a vital life.

Her practice is grounded in contextual behavioral science, including Acceptance and Commitment Training, and in the person-centered tradition that insists a good life is built on relationships, contribution, and belonging rather than compliance. She is based in Cody, Wyoming, and works with families throughout the region and beyond.

THE EXTENDED TEAM

Some engagements call for more than behavioral consultation. Through established professional relationships, the practice coordinates psychiatric care, counseling, psychoeducational assessment, and employment and transition support within a single engagement, under one plan and one point of contact.
